The Silence that Remains

Me and my boyfriend broke up c: Ha ha ha ha ha Irony~!

I'm not gonna talk about it here. People who matter know about it (or will know about it). Hopefully we can get together again, but it's just a bad time right now.

This was one of the better pictures I drew in my book that I used to get my aggressions out (obviously it's one that's more of a calm anger) But if you know how to look at a piece of art, you can analyze this and describe how I was feeling at the time. I threw in some (subtle) symbolism. A cookie for anyone who can figure it out!

Originally, I was just going to post the line art, but I decided to turn it into a shadow study and I think it worked out for the better. It makes the piece look more dynamic. I like the way the hair strand shadow looks like a tear :3
